Winter 2026 Intake

Request for Reinstatement - Winter 2026

• If your study permit is approved between November 23, 2025 and Wednesday, January 7^th, 2026, and you wish to attend the Winter (January 2026) intake you may be eligible to request reinstatement of your application. To do so, please email international@nbcc.ca with the Subject Line: “Reinstatement Request – Winter 2026 – ²»Á¼Ñо¿ËùStudent ID Number”.  Please note that campus closures in December may result in a delayed response.
• If you are not eligible for reinstatement, you may be eligible for a deferral to the Winter 2027 start term. Check your eligibility and complete the form at the bottom of this page to request a deferral to the Winter 2027 intake for the same campus and same program.

Request for Deferral - Winter 2026

Deferral requests (if eligible) can be submitted from January 5, 2026 to April 30^th, 2026. If your study permit is approved between November 23^rd, 2025, and April 30^th, 2026, please read through the ‘Details on Deferral”, and “Am I Eligible for Deferral” sections below and complete the form to request a deferral to the Winter 2027 intake for the same campus and same program.

Request for Reinstatement

• If your study permit is approved between August 7^th and September 5^th, and you wish to attend the Fall (September 2025) intake you may be eligible to request reinstatement of your application. To do so, please email international@nbcc.ca with the Subject Line: “Reinstatement Request – Fall 2025 – ²»Á¼Ñо¿ËùStudent ID Number”.  
• If you are not eligible for reinstatement, you may be eligible for a deferral to the Fall 2026 start term. Check your eligibility and complete the form at the bottom of this page to request a deferral to the Fall 2026 intake for the same campus and same program.

If your study permit is approved between August 7^th, 2025, and December 31^st, 2025, please read through the ‘Details on Deferral”, and “Am I Eligible for Deferral” sections below and complete the form to request a deferral to the Fall 2026 intake for the same campus and same program.

Details on Deferral

Accepted Applicants who receive a late study permit approval within the timelines outlined for their ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëùintake may be eligible for a one-time opportunity to defer their application (not acceptance) to the next academic year for the same campus and the same program choice.

A deferred application does not require payment of a new application fee. The application will retain the same date/time stamp as the original application in the following year’s admission cycle.

The $1,500 CAD non-refundable confirmation deposit may be deferred one time if ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëùis able to issue a new Letter of Acceptance (LOA) through NBCC’s deferral process. For eligible applicants, this deferral of the confirmation deposit will be processed automatically through NBCC’s deferral process.

Applicants who have paid more than their non-refundable $1500 confirmation deposit may be eligible to request a refund. Please see REFUNDS for details on eligibility and how to request the refund.

Applicants with a study permit refusal are not eligible for a deferral.

Am I Eligible for Deferral?

The application for deferral will be open beginning Tuesday, September 2^nd and will close on Wednesday, December 31^st, 2025. Deferral requests will only be accepted during the specified dates.  Any request after the deadline will be considered on a case by case basis. Please contact international@nbcc.ca for guidance.

Deferral requests will be eligible for approval if they meet the following criteria:

1. Applicant was accepted to Fall 2025 intake (paid non-refundable confirmation fee and first term tuition and fees).
2. Study Permit is approved between August 7th, 2025 and December 31st, 2025.
3. Applicant must provide proof of the approval decision from IRCC. The document must be submitted at the time of the deferral request by uploading it in the form below.
4. New application must be for the same program and same campus.
