What It Is: Accelerated, hands-on training in solar PV installation, electrical connections, advanced troubleshooting, and maintenance—developed with industry experts. 

Who It's For: Red Seal electricians seeking specialized training to advance their expertise in electrical connections and troubleshooting of solar energy systems. 

What Participants Gain: Skills to safely install panels and perform utility-interactive (grid-tied) electrical connections. Expertise in conducting quality checks and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Advanced troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and optimize system performance. 

Career Outcomes: Prepare for roles like Solar PV Systems Specialist or Solar Energy Systems Electrician. 

What's The Cost: Thanks to funding from Upskill Canada (powered by Palette Skills) and the Government of Canada, the program is subsidized for a limited time. Once accepted, you’ll only pay $200.

Certification

When you complete the Solar PV Systems Electrician microcredential you’ll earn a digital badge as proof of your achievement. Employers will be able to see your skills and know exactly what you’ve learned, as the badge highlights your proven abilities.

Required Materials

Participants will need a computer with high-speed internet access for online learning. In-person components will require access to solar panel infrastructure.
